Who We Are
Serendipity Healthcare Foundation is a CAC registered not for profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2003 but established in 2009 as a direct social response to the healthcare issues in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. SHF is based in Kano but with appendices in Abuja and Niger States of Nigeria.
Serendipity is a growing Humanitarian organization poised at fighting poverty through the provision of access to safe clean drinking water, basic sanitation, and hygiene education also through various programs aimed at reducing the scourge of malaria in rural communities, saving lives at birth, Girl Child Education, Climate Wealth Creation in Agricultural practices.
Since 2003, Serendipity’s programs though on low scales have reached 1,350,000 (One Million, three hundred and fifty thousand) women, children, and youths in rural communities of Kano, Jigawa, and Katsina state.
Working in partnership with Indigenous organizations and through grants, SHF has embarked upon small-scale, community driven projects that:
are long term, sustainable development initiatives
use low-cost, locally appropriate technologies
integrate water supply, sanitation and hygiene education activities also intertwined home management of malaria, Insecticide Treated nets supply and sanitation as a way of reducing malaria, safe birthing process and technologies
wealth creation
emphasize community ownership of planning and management
emphasize self-help and community participation
benefit and involve Women, Children and Youths
